Every week is a great week when there’s football involved. Each week. this column will analyze a player at each position rostered in 50 percent of Yahoo leagues or less. This group of players is basically a dream stream team. For reference, the threshold used for Wins and Losses in this article will be if the quarterbacks can score at least 17 points, if the tight ends can score at least eight PPR points, and if the rest can score at least 10 PPR points. Week 13 Stream Team
Quarterback – Jared Goff (DET – 46%) v JAX
After starting the season out on fire for the first month, Jared Goff has mostly crashed back to earth ever since. A lot of that coincides with not having a full set of weapons. Both Amon-Ra St. Brown and D’Andre Swift have dealt with lingering injuries and Swift is still not fully healthy. On top of that, T.J. Hockenson got dealt to the Minnesota Vikings. The Detroit Lions defense has also played slightly better as well. All of these things are not helping Goff from a fantasy perspective.
This past week, however, he got back to his pass-happy ways. Goff threw 37 passes for 240 yards and two scores. He finished with 17.60 fantasy points which was his best output in a month. This week he gets a juicy setup to help keep the good times rolling. Goff and the Lions are facing the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have allowed the tenth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Their offense has also stepped up lately which only increases the chance that Goff needs to drop back even more. This game is also being played in Detroit so it is in a dome. This game also has the second-highest combined total on the entire week at 51.5 points. All of this makes Jared Goff a great Week 13 Stream Team option.

Running Back – Ty Johnson (NYJ – 1%) @ MIN
It’s never fun to see a player get hurt but when it happens, it opens up an opportunity for another player to step up and shine. This is especially true at the running back position. Unfortunately, Michael Carter went down with an ankle injury this past week and is unlikely to play this coming week. The New York Jets already lost star rookie running back Breece Hall earlier in the season so they are now down to their third-string guy. That guy is Ty Johnson. Johnson has shown flashes in the past when he’s gotten the opportunity to carry the load and should get an opportunity at double-digit touches this coming week. He’s very athletic but just makes some mistakes.
This past week Johnson turned six touches into 78 yards and a touchdown. This week he’ll get a nice matchup against the Vikings. The Vikings are a good offense but they aren’t strong defensively. They have allowed the tenth-most fantasy points to running backs this season. They are surprisingly only three-point favorites despite being at home so the Jets should be able to hang tough here. If Johnson is able to get double-digit touches, he should make for an awesome Week 13 Stream Team option.

Wide Receiver – Zay Jones (JAX – 25%) @ DET
Zay Jones is the epitome of a streaming wide receiver. He’s shown flashes throughout his career but could never sustain that level of production to move into must-start territory. He’s had five games this season where he scored double-digit fantasy points. Jones has seen 10+ targets in four separate games this season. He’s also sprinkled in five different single-digit fantasy point games as well.
This past week was the first time he was able to string together multiple double-digit performances in a row when he put up a season-best 30.50 fantasy points. Jones caught 11 of his 14 targets for 145 yards and a two-point conversion. This week he gets a juicy matchup to try to keep the streak alive as he gets to face the Lions. The Lions have been mostly awful on defense and have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year so far. As previously mentioned, this game has the second-highest combined total and will be played in a dome. Jones makes for a great Week 13 Stream Team option in this one.

Honorable Mentions – Nico Collins (HOU – 24%) v CLE, Michael Gallup (DET – 48%) v IND
Tight End – Evan Engram (JAX – 40%) @ DET
Sticking with that same game, Jones’ teammate Evan Engram might as well be the definition of a streaming tight end. His whole career he’s teased with his incredible athleticism. Engram even put up one of the best rookie seasons of all time for a rookie tight end. Since then he’s been plagued with injuries and mistakes. This year he’s been solid but hasn’t been able to solidify himself as a must-start option either, much like his teammate Jones. Also like Jones, he gets an incredible matchup this week to try to take advantage of.
Engram put up a stinker this past week but the Lions have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. As mentioned before, the combined total of 51.5 points is the second-highest on the weekend. This makes this game a game to target with it likely turning into a sneaky shootout. Tight end is certainly a tough position but there is plenty to like about Engram in this one. All of this makes Engram one of the best Week 13 Stream Team options.
