Tyler Kroft is a veteran tight end going into his eighth year in the NFL. Kroft spent 2021 with the Jets, starting six games for the AFC East team. He appeared in nine total games, playing in 63% of the Jets offensive snaps while active. Kroft did miss several games last season due to a neck injury and lung laceration. The Jets relied on Kroft for blocking and pass-catching through the year as evidenced by his snap count.

Even with the limited action, Kroft was able to accumulate the second-most receiving yards in his career at 173. Kroft spent two years before with the Buffalo Bills but was not able to contribute to the team much, starting just seven games in those two years. He was on the field for 39.5% of the Bills offensive snaps during his time there, but this equated in just 190 yards total during his time in Buffalo. Kroft did manage four touchdowns with the Bills during his stay.

Kroft will look to extend his career by trying to replicate his first few years in the league, spent with the Cincinnati Bengals. In his time with the Bengals, Kroft started 35 games. Kroft was on the field for a minimum of 33% of the Bengals offensive snaps, peaking during the 2017 season at 86% of the snaps. This coincides with Kroft’s best year in the NFL.

Although he only caught 42 passes on the year, Kroft accounted for seven touchdowns for the Bengals. This was, by far, the most in his career during a single season. In total with the Bengals, Kroft appeared in 51 games. On average, Kroft caught 17 passes a year for 165 yards. These stats are anchored by that 2017 season, but Kroft has that much ability.
