A season ago, Bridgewater appeared in 14 games for the Broncos, starting in all of those contests in his seventh season. The 29-year-old quarterback finished the year completing 66.9 percent of his 426 pass attempts, totaling 3,052 yards through the air with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Bridgewater also displayed his duel threat abilities in the rushing game, carrying the ball 30 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns.

Before his time in Denver, Bridgewater returned as an NFL starting quarterback with the Panthers in 2020, where he started and played in 15 games. He tallied a career-high 3,733 passing yards while completing 69.1 percent of his 492 pass attempts, also adding 15 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. Bridgewater also recorded a career-high 279 rushing yards on 53 carries, finding the endzone five times on the ground.

Prior to Carolina, Bridgewater returned to the field with the Saints after suffering a near career-ending knee injury earlier in his career. With New Orleans, where he spent two seasons, Bridgewater primarily served as a backup to then Saints quarterback Drew Brees. In 14 games with the Saints, six as a starter, Bridgewater tallied 1,502 passing yards and 10 touchdowns, throwing three interceptions.

To begin his career, Bridgewater broke into the league with the Vikings as a promising young quarterback. Bridgewater played in Minnesota for three years until suffering a knee injury that forced the Vikings to move on at the position. In those three seasons, Bridgewater appeared in 30 games and started in 28 for Minnesota, finishing his tenure with the Vikings by throwing for 6,150 yards and 28 touchdowns while throwing 22 interceptions. In the running game, Bridgewater added 94 carries for 398 yards and four touchdowns with the Vikings.
