Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray left the field limping following Thursday night’s 24-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers. While this is obviously scary for Cardinal fans, the latest NFL rumors suggest that the quarterback will be fine in the long run. In other news, Patrick Mahomes talked about Kansas City’s slow start, while Dak Prescott might miss Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
NFL Rumors: Kyler Murray, Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray suffered an ankle injury late in Thursday night’s contest. While he played through the injury, he clearly wasn’t feeling great as he left the field. However, while speaking to reporters, the former first-overall pick said that this isn’t a serious injury.
“Yeah, I’m good. Guy rolled up on me, but other than that it’s just unfortunate to lose like that,” Murray said. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury also didn’t seem concerned, saying that he “assumed” Murray would be ok moving forward.
Murray had a relatively underwhelming performance on Thursday night, but he has still been one of the best quarterbacks in football. Assuming this ankle injury doesn’t limit him moving forward, Murray should be in the MVP conversation throughout the remainder of the season.

Patrick Mahomes: I Have to Be Better
Nobody expected the Kansas City Chiefs to be 3-4 entering Week 8’s action. After making it to the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year, the team completely revamped the offensive line in pursuit of another title. However, an abysmal defensive performance combined with some relatively underwhelming play from Patrick Mahomes has led to this surprising record.
Speaking to Adam Teicher of ESPN, the former league MVP took the blame for Kansas City’s slow start. “It’s just stuff that I’ve always got to work on…it’s hanging in the pocket, working on my footwork, staying on time, all that stuff like that.”
In short, Mahomes is looking to make life easier on himself moving forward. The quarterback is capable of making incredible plays, but he does tend to look over the easy option while trying to play hero ball. This strategy usually works, but it can lead to someIf he cuts these out of his game, then Kansas City’s offense should go back to being the unstoppable force we’re used to seeing.
Patrick Mahomes says he has to battle "not getting bored" taking the short plays the defense is giving him. Pat likes to throw it down the field

Dak Prescott Could Miss Week 8
Dak Prescott has been everything the Cowboys could have hoped for through the first seven weeks of the season. Coming back from his season-ending ankle injury, Prescott has completed a league-high 73.1% of his passes for 1,813 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions. However, the MVP candidate might not be able to play in Week 8.
According to Dallas Cowboys practice reports, Prescott suffered a strained right calf and was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice. For what it’s worth, Vegas doesn’t seem to believe that Prescott will suit up in Week 8, as the Vikings are now favored in the matchup by 2.5 points. Earlier in the week, the Cowboys were three-point favorites.
Despite what Vegas thinks, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport states that Prescott is hoping to play on Sunday. Right now, it looks like the quarterback has a 50/50 shot of suiting up. Even if he does play, he probably won’t be at full strength.
