Week 4 Stream Team

Quarterback – Sam Darnold (CAR – 21%) @ DAL

After years of wasting away with Adam Gase and the New York Jets, Sam Darnold is finally free and flourishing so far. He’s averaging just over 21 fantasy points per game through three games with the Carolina Panthers. One of the biggest reasons he’s been able to do so is all the weapons he has on offense.

With playmakers like Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and Terrace Marshall, it makes life a lot easier as a quarterback. Darnold is able to get the ball into those guys’ hands and let them rack up easy yards. This week he gets one of the most friendly matchups a quarterback can get against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys tend to leak fantasy points to opposing offenses, especially quarterbacks. It’s also in Dallas so it will be in a dome which helps the passing games as well. If streaming quarterbacks, Darnold makes for one of the best low-rostered options this week.

Honorable Mentions – Taylor Heinicke (WFT – 6%) @ ATL, Daniel Jones (NYG – 45%) @ NO

Running Back – Chuba Hubbard (CAR – 26%) @ DAL

Chuba Hubbard is the waiver wire flavor of the week and rightfully so. Unfortunately, Christian McCaffrey left the game this week with a hamstring injury that will likely sideline him for at least a few weeks. Enter Hubbard. He saw 11 carries and five targets, catching three of them, over the course of the rest of the game. Hubbard turned those 14 touches into 79 total yards and 10.9 fantasy points.

Let’s not forget this offense allowed Mike Davis to come in and put up big numbers as the starter last season when McCaffrey went down. Hubbard will definitely be set up very nicely to succeed. This week he gets a juicy matchup against the Cowboys. The Cowboys are always a prime matchup because they can put up points with the best of them but they also can’t stop teams from scoring either. Dallas is also one of the fastest-paced teams which should allow more plays and more offense.

Hubbard should be a great play for at least the next few weeks and with hamstring injuries being so tricky, who knows when McCaffrey will be back.

Honorable Mentions – Peyton Barber (LV – 7%) @ LAC, J.D. McKissic (WFT – 39%) @ ATL

Wide Receiver – Emmanuel Sanders (BUF – 26%) v HOU

While everyone was conducting the Gabriel Davis hype train this offseason, it was Emmanuel Sanders who was the sneaky late-round draft pick. Sanders seems to have been left for dead for the last couple of years now and he’s still been a productive receiver. Now on the Buffalo Bills, he should play a regular role as the third receiving option on most weeks.

So far he’s played at least 77% of the snaps in all three games. He’s also seen at least six targets in all three games as well. While it didn’t translate to very much production in the first two weeks, Week 3 was different. Sanders hauled in five receptions for 94 yards and two scores this week. That was good for 26.4 fantasy points.

This week could be more of the same against the Houston Texans. Houston is one of the worst teams in the NFL right now and the Bills should be able to move the ball early and often. With Buffalo throwing at one of the highest rates in the NFL, Sanders makes for a great fantasy football Week 4 stream team option.

Honorable Mentions – Tim Patrick (DEN – 22%) v BAL, Hunter Renfrow (LV – 11%) @ LAC

Tight End – Dawson Knox (BUF – 9%) v HOU

Speaking of Buffalo Bills pass catchers, Dawson Knox has been quietly solid and consistent this season. He’s currently averaging four targets per game and more than 10 fantasy points per game so far. Knox is mostly the fourth option but on a team that passes as much as Buffalo does, it’s not a bad shot to take for a streaming tight end.

As previously mentioned, the matchup this week is about as easy as it gets against the Texans’ so-called defense. Houston has allowed production to guys like Austin Hooper and James O’Shaughnessy so far. Another great aspect for Buffalo is that they currently have an insane 32-point implied total. When streaming tight ends, picking the tight end on a team that has one of the highest pass rates and the highest implied total isn’t a bad option.

Honorable Mentions – Jared Cook (LAC – 50%) v LV, Tyler Conklin (MIN – 4%) v CLE
