14-year NFL offensive lineman Richie Incognito has signed a contract to return to the Las Vegas Raiders. Incognito, a former third-round pick, spent the last two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. The team released him in a cost-cutting move earlier in the off-season and now get him back on a cheaper deal. Incognito was the fifth offensive guard selected in the 2005 NFL draft.

Richie Incognito revitalized his career after signing with the Raiders in 2019. Many were unsure if Incognito would ever play again after an injury forced him to retire in 2018. He was only able to play in two games in the 2020 season due to injury as well. When healthy, Incognito is one of the best offensive linemen in the game.

Richie Incognito initially entered the league in 2005 as the 81st overall pick of the NFL Draft. Selected by the Los Angeles Rams, Incognito had a rough start to his career. Even though he started all 16 games of his rookie season, he also committed 10 penalties. Incognito also allowed three sacks which is not that bad for a rookie offensive lineman.

His best seasons came with the Buffalo Bills. Incognito played for the Bills from 2015 to 2017. He earned Pro Bowl nominations in each of those three seasons. In those three seasons combined, Incognito only surrendered seven total sacks. While his penalties were still high, it was clear that Incognito was one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL.

Health is the biggest factor in determining the value of Incognito. As stated previously, he is a top-tier offensive lineman when healthy. Incognito is an aggressive player though. You have to know what to expect when he is starting on your offensive line. Incognito will bully people in the run game and provide solid pass protection, but will also come close to averaging a penalty a game. The good typically outweighs the bad when it comes to Incognito and his play on the field.
