Suh started all 16 games for the Buccaneers in 2020. He recorded six sacks as Tampa Bay earned an 11-5 record and qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Suh impressed in his age 34 season. Part of a strong defensive line, he tallied 44 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, and forced a fumble.

Suh played 2020 on a one-year deal after re-signing with Tampa Bay in the offseason. He first signed for Tampa Bay prior to the 2019 season, also on a one-year contract. Suh also started all 16 games in 2019 but only recorded 2.5 sacks – the lowest sack total of his career.

Suh signed for Tampa Bay after making the first Super Bowl appearance of his career with the Los Angles Rams. The defensive tackle signed a one-year, $14 million contract with the Rams in 2018 and was a force on the defensive line during Los Angeles’ playoff run. Suh recorded 1.5 sacks in the Rams 26-23 NFC Championship overtime victory over the New Orleans Saints. He also made two tackles in Super Bowl 53 as the Rams lost 13-3 to the New England Patriots

Suh’s time with the Rams came after a lackluster three seasons with the Miami Dolphins. Miami made Suh the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history at the time of signing in 2015. Signing him to a six-year, $114 million contract with $60 million guaranteed. Suh was released three years into the contract having recorded 15.5 sacks in three seasons.

The Detroit Lions selected Suh second overall in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played five seasons in Detroit where he made a name for himself with his aggressive style of play. He racked up 36 sacks in 78 games for the Lions. Suh played his college career at the University of Nebraska. He was a Heisman Trophy Finalist in 2009 in a season he recorded 12 sacks in 14 games.
