The Buffalo Bills are currently flourishing and they just rewarded Brandon Beane as a result.
On Thursday, the team announced that they signed their general manager to a multi-year contract extension. Beane is currently in his fourth year with the club in that capacity.

Buffalo Bills Sign General Manager to Contract Extension
The news comes with the Bills enjoying a level of success that hasn’t come to the franchise in a generation. They currently stand at 9-3 and are on the cusp of their first AFC East championship since 1995. Quarterback Josh Allen, who Beane drafted with the seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, is performing at a level that has him in the MVP conversation.
Beane also made another managerial decision that paid off significantly this past off-season. He decided to send Buffalo’s 2020 first-round pick among other assets to the Minnesota Vikings for wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The sixth-year pro has since become the focal point of the Bills receiving corps with his 1,037 yards leading the team. He’s also one of just seven NFL wide receivers to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving up to this point in the regular season.
The hiring of Brandon Beane as general manager in 2017 coincided with the Bills bringing in Sean McDermott as head coach. That year, they would go on to erase the longest playoff drought in the NFL at the time. And given their current record, Buffalo looks poised to make the postseason for the third time in the four seasons that both have occupied their current positions.
The perception that the Bills were in line for a standout season in 2020 meant that the NFL schedule makers had them in line for increased national television appearances. That much is certain right now as they just defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34-24 on Monday Night Football. And this weekend, they host the AFC-leading Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football with a chance to get a truly season-defining win.
