Tony Boselli Hospitalized due to Coronavirus
Boselli is a former Pro Bowler who was the first draft pick in Jacksonville Jaguars history. He was a left tackle and five-time pro bowler. Boselli also was a First-Team All-Pro tackle three times from 1997-1999. At 6’7” and 324 pounds, Boselli is a mountain of a man and played with intensity during his time on the field.
Boselli is one of the all-time great talents at his position. Had his career not been cut short due to injury, Boselli would have been a first-ballot Hall of Famer. His career lasted eight seasons, seven of which were as a Jaguar. Boselli has been a hall of fame finalist for the past four consecutive seasons. Though longevity in his career has kept him out of the hall to this point, he will make it in one day.
Boselli will turn 48 years old on April 17th. He’s originally from Modesto, California but he still resides in Jacksonville. After playing football professionally, Boselli still commentates on the game with outlets such as Westwood One. He also is a frequent guest and contributor on the local Jacksonville sports show channel, 1010 XL.
An additional tweet from Mike Freeman says that Boselli was initially a patient in the intensive care unit (ICU) but is doing better now even though he is still receiving treatment. Hearing news such as this can be scary, but it should also serve to warn us. No one is invincible, and it’s important to follow the recommendations of medical experts during times like this. Here’s to wishing Boselli a speedy recovery.
