The spread of Conoravirus continues to grow. Former NFL veteran wide receiver Kris Durham reportedly contracted the deadly disease while in Italy. Durham recorded a video from inside his apartment, showing the desolate streets of the country. Pat McAfee shared the video on his Twitter account, and ESPN insider Adam Schefter confirmed the validity of the tweet.

Even though Durham is best known for his time in the NFL, the former fourth-round pick hasn’t appeared in a regular season game since the 2014 season. Durham has, however, spent some time playing for the Parma Panthers in the Italian Football League, which is why he’s in the country to begin with. The odds of him transferring the disease to anyone currently involved with the NFL are slim to none.

Durham’s news and associated video is just the cherry on top of what has been one of the craziest days in recent memory. Earlier on Wednesday, the NBA announced that they’re suspending the 2019 season and the NCAA announced March Madness will be played without fans. With free agency and the NFL Draft right around the corner, the NFL might have to adjust their offseason schedule in light of recent events.

Durham initially entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Selected by the Seattle Seahawks, the 23-year old appeared in just three games, recording three receptions for 30 yards and no touchdowns on four targets. The Georgia product couldn’t make the team in 2012, but managed to carve out a role with the Detroit Lions.

After a relatively quiet 2012, Durham actually manged to see some notable time on offense in 2013. Serving as a depth target, Durham recorded 38 receptions for 490 yards and two touchdowns on 85 targets. Despite his relatively successful season, he couldn’t make the team in 2014, instead spending the year with the Tennessee Titans. During what would be his final year in the league, the Georgia product recorded six receptions for 54 yards. He signed with the Oakland Raiders in the 2015 offseason, but couldn’t make the team.
