Frank “The Shark” Clark comes in at No. 5 on the top earners list for the upcoming season. The Kansas City Chiefs acquired Clark in April 2019 and inked him to a five-year, $104 million contract. Clark will receive $62.3m of the deal in guaranteed money. Last season, Clark appeared in 14 games and recorded 8.0 sacks as the Chiefs went on to win Super Bowl LIV.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots – $30 million
A pair of quarterbacks occupy the No. 4 spot on the list of NFL highest paid players in 2020. Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins and New England Patriots signal-caller Tom Brady will each make a mint in the upcoming season. Cousins current deal will end in 2021. The Vikings QB was guaranteed $84m over three seasons. Brady is set to earn $30m at the moment but his contract voids in March. He could enter free agency with some reports stating a $100m deal could be on offer.
- Jared Goff, LA Rams – $31 million
After leading the LA Rams to Super Bowl LIII, quarterback Jared Goff was rewarded with a four-year $134m contract. The quarterback is due a $21m bonus this season. Rams fans will hope Goff can lead the team back to the Super Bowl after going 9-7 in 2019.
- Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles – $39.4 million
Carson Wentz’s name may surprise a few as the second-highest paid player in the NFL in 2020. The upcoming season will be the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback’s second under his current contract. Wentz’s deal is a four-year $128m extension that will take him into the 2024 offseason. Wentz was drafted out of tiny North Dakota State University and his contract shows just how far he has come as a football player.
- Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks – $53 million
The Seattle Seahawks committed a lot of money to quarterback Russell Wilson in April 2019. The Super Bowl winner signed a four-year $140m extension that will see him stay with the franchise through the 2023 season. Wilson is guaranteed $107m despite the criticism he reportedly received from teammates in previous seasons.
