Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Week 15 Waiver Wire Claims: A.J. Brown, Isaiah Ford, More

Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Week 15 Waiver Wire Claims: A.J. Brown and Isaiah Ford sould be two of the top pickups for the fantasy playoffs.
A.J. Brown

14 weeks of NFL action are officially in the books, which means it’s time for the fantasy football playoffs. Whether you’re looking to take home a championship or just avoid coming in last, now is the time to search the waiver wire for all the best available wide receivers. Heading into Week 15, you should set your eyes on A.J. Brown, Isaiah Ford, Allen HurnsCole Beasley, and Marcus Johnson.

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you’re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.

A.J. Brown, Isaiah Ford Highlight Fantasy Football Week 15 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Claims

A.J. Brown

A.J. Brown is the real deal. The second-round pick is thriving under Ryan Tannehill and looks like a sure-fire star for the future. Last week, Brown recorded five receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns against an overmatched Oakland Raiders secondary. Tannehill is playing like one of the better quarterbacks in the league and should be able to sustain Brown as a legitimate stud wide receiver. You shouldn’t expect another WR1 week, but Brown easily has what it takes to put together a solid WR2 outing against the Houston Texans.

Isaiah Ford or Allen Hurns

Devante Parker has quietly been one of the most reliable receivers in fantasy football, but that streak came to an end in Week 14. The former first-round pick suffered a concussion, forcing Isaiah Ford to take over as the top option in the passing game. Ford answered the call, recording six receptions for 92 yards on nine targets. Ryan Fitzpatrick loves to target wide receivers, so Ford has some intriguing upside in Week 15. Alternatively, Allen Hurns also recorded five receptions for 68 yards on eight targets. There’s no way to predict which guy is going to be Miami’s top receiver moving forward, so both players are worth a pickup in deep leagues.

Redux: Robby Anderson, Zach Pascal

As mentioned last week, Robby Anderson and Zach Pascal are both great pickups for the remainder of the season. Both players had great outings in Week 14 and both are still available in over 50% of NFL.com fantasy leagues. Make sure to pick these guys up if they’re still on your waiver wire.

Cole Beasley

Josh Allen likes Cole Beasley. The former Dallas Cowboy finished his night with just four recpetions for 29 yards and a touchdown, but he still saw seven targets. This marks the third straight game in which he received seven or more targets, and there’s no reason to expect that usage to change. He’s not an exciting play by any means, but you could certainly do worse.

Deep Leagues: Marcus Johnson

The Colts needed someone to step up with T.Y. Hilton sidelined, and that someone appears to be Marcus Johnson. While Zach Pascal was the star of the show, Johnson appears to be the second receiver on the depth chart. During Week 14’s action, Johnson recorded three receptions for 105 yards and one touchdown on seven targets. He had a 50-yard catch and a 46-yard touchdown, so he won’t need many opportunities to provide fantasy relevance. If you’re looking for a high-upside dart throw, make Marcus Johnson your guy.
