D.J. Moore has been one of the best fantasy wide receivers in the league over the past few weeks. He tops the list of Week 14 DFS core plays. Find out who else to build your daily NFL lineups around this week.
Week 14 DFS Core Plays: Play D.J. Moore
Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson $7,400
Jackson’s ability to move the football down the field with both his arm and his legs has made him matchup proof. Therefore, even though the Buffalo Bills have an excellent pass defense, Jackson can still put up plenty of fantasy points with his legs. Keep rolling him out there for DFS and season-long in Week 14.
Kirk Cousins $6,700
Cousins has been one of the most consistent non-mobile quarterbacks in the league this season. This week, Cousins gets to face the 30th ranked passing defense of the Detroit Lions. Cousins roasted the Lions for 338 yards and four touchdowns back in Week 7. He’s in a good position to have a repeat performance this Sunday at 1:00 pm EST in Minnesota. The fact that Dalvin Cook is dealing with a shoulder injury, and the Lions are struggling to defend the pass, should give the Vikings coaching staff all the reason they need to cut Cousins and the passing game lose on Sunday.
Ryan Tannehill $5,800
Tannehill disappointed many daily fantasy players last week when he faced off with the Titans division rival Indianapolis Colts. However, late-season divisional games are typically played close to the vest, as both teams have a familiarity with each other. Luckily, Tannehill has a non-division matchup this week with the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders rank in the bottom half of the league in DraftKings points allowed to quarterbacks. Vegas sees the Titans as road favorites, with the line set at O/U 47 Titans -2.5. However, the Raiders should be able to keep the contest competitive, forcing the Titans to keep their foot on the gas pedal all game long. Therefore, Tannehill should put up a better stat line this Sunday in Oakland.
I need you all to wake up and know this before you go to work/school.
The @titans have the 2nd highest scoring offense in the @NFL since @ryantannehill1 took over in week 7.
Thank you.

Running Backs
Derrick Henry $8,200
For a back that doesn’t catch many passes, $8,200 feels too steep. However, temperatures are plummeting, and the calendar has turned to December, officially marking Derrick Henry season. Henry already dominated the month of November, averaging over 30 DraftKings points per game. The Titans have the second highest-scoring offense in the league since Tannehill took over as quarterback in Week 7. Tannehill has made defenses pay when they load the box to stop the run, and Henry has made them pay when they lighten the box. With the offense now operating effectively, Henry should continue to have ample opportunity to grind out yards and touchdowns in the run game. Henry’s lack of involvement in the passing game and his high price make him risky for cash lineups. However, assuming most people will be turned off for those same reasons, Henry is a highly appealing GPP option.
Player not getting enough national attention: Derrick Henry.
In his last 3 games:
• 23 carries, 188 rushing yards, 2 TDs
• 19 carries, 159 rushing yards, 2 TDs
• 26 carries, 149 rushing yards, 1 TD#Titans won all 3 games. pic.twitter.com/xss6yhOwmW— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) December 2, 2019
Melvin Gordon $6,400
Gordon is averaging well over 20 touches per game over his past four games. This week, Gordon plays the Jacksonville Jaguars who rank 27th in DK points allowed to running backs. Gordon should be able to do some damage with 20 plus touches versus the Jaguars porous run defense. The Chargers are three-point road favorites over the Jags, also implying a run-friendly game script. Gordon gets volume and also gets involved in the passing game, making him a viable cash game option at $6,400 on Draft Kings.
Mark Ingram $5,900
Ingram stands out as a tremendous value this week with the Ravens taking on the Bills. The Bills defense is strongest in the secondary, which forces most opponents to lean more heavily on their running game. Buffalo ranks 20th in DraftKings points allowed to running backs this season. Furthermore, playing within the potent Ravens offense, Ingram is a threat to score multiple touchdowns in any game. If he scores multiple touchdowns while priced at only $5,900, the return on investment for DFS could be substantial.
Phillip Lindsay $5,300
Lindsay is averaging 18 touches per game over his last three. However, he’s been unable to put up any big stat lines in any of those contests. This week could be different. Lindsay will take on the Houston Texans who rank 28th in DraftKings points allowed to running backs. His matchup, volume, and price all point to Lindsay being a good value-play for DFS on Sunday.
Wide Receivers
DeAndre Hopkins $7,400
Hopkins has one of the safest floors of all wide receivers. He has caught at least five passes in every game this season. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen a lot of games where he hit his ceiling this year. However, Hopkins regularly puts up enough stats on a consistent basis to be considered a reliable cash game play.
D.J. Moore $7,000
Moore is another receiver who has proven extremely reliable as of late. He has caught six or more passes in seven of his last eight games. This week, Moore will play the Atlanta Falcons, who he caught eight of 15 passes for 95 yards against back in Week 11. The Falcons pass defense has been bad this year. They allow the sixth-most passing yards in the league, and the eighth-most DraftKings points to wide receivers.
D.J. Moore has had a target share of at least 24% in eight-straight games

Calvin Ridley $6,700
Ridley has caught fire the past three weeks. His biggest game over that period was Week 11 when he scored 31.3 DraftKings points against the Carolina Panthers. Ridley will face the Panthers again this week. In three career games versus the Panthers, Ridley has amassed 15 receptions for 295 yards. He also scored a touchdown in all three games. One more interesting nugget: Atlanta is 3-0 in those contests.
Will Fuller $5,500
If you are looking for a high upside GPP play, look no further. Few players offer the kind of upside Fuller does. The Texans face the Broncos this week. Chris Harris is likely going to shadow Hopkins in coverage, leaving Isaac Yiadom and Will Parks guarding Fuller. Both players have had their struggles, but Yiadom has been targeted on 27 percent of his routes guarded and allows .44 fantasy points per pass route. Look for the Texans to try to exploit the Yiadom-Fuller matchup as much as possible on Sunday. It makes sense to stack Fuller with Deshaun Watson to capitalize on their correlation.
Edit: Will Fuller has been ruled out for Week 14.
Tight Ends
Jack Doyle $4,600
Doyle showed us some of what he can do as the lone pass-catching tight end playing in the Colts offense when he had 6/73/1 against the Titans. This week, Doyle gets the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who rank 30th versus tight ends. Doyle has an excellent opportunity to put up a good stat line again this week. He’s a strong cash game play at 4.6k on Draft Kings.
Kyle Rudolph $4,400
Rudolph has stepped up his receiving game with Adam Thielen (hamstring) out of the lineup. Rudolph has scored double-digit DraftKings points five of the last six games he’s played. One of those double-digit scores came against the Lions, who the Vikings play again this week. The Lions rank 19th defending tight ends this season. If Thielen remains out again this week, Rudolph will be in play for daily lineups.
Kyle Rudolph, in Adam Thielen’s absence:
Since Week 9-
• has seen at least 5 pass targets in every game
• has caught at least one touchdown in every game
• has 5 total touchdowns https://t.co/VwwOyIa4a9

Defense
Baltimore Ravens $2,900
The Ravens defense has been outstanding recently. It’s surprising to see them priced sub-3k. The matchup with the Buffalo Bills is no cakewalk. However, it’s likely the Bills fall victim to the same fate most of the Ravens opponents have. The Ravens offense is so potent that it helps the defense by adding pressure on opposing offenses and forcing them to keep pace. They often get out to a big lead, allowing the Ravens defense to pin their ears back and go on the attack.
Indianapolis Colts $2,400
The Colts face turnover-prone Jameis Winston and his Buccaneers this week in Tampa. The Colts defenders should have some opportunities to get their hands on some Winston passes. Winston tends to throw a few balls up for grabs every week. At only $2,400, the Colts defense doesn’t need to do much to hit value. A pick-six would put them over the top in terms of ROI.
