11 weeks of NFL play are officially in the books, which means bye weeks are in full swing. Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you’ll need to search the waiver wire for all the best available tight ends. Heading into Week 12, you should set your eyes on Noah Fant, Jacob Hollister, Ryan Griffin, and possibly Rob Gronkowski.
Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you’re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.

Noah Fant, Jacob Hollister Highlight Fantasy Football Week 12 Tight End Waiver Wire Claims
Noah Fant
Denver Broncos rookie Noah Fant is the top tight end add for Week 12. The 2019 first-round pick is becoming a featured part of Denver’s offense and boasts the elite athleticism required to turn every touch into a big play. Fant recorded just four receptions for 60 yards last week, but he led the team with 11 targets. This high-volume workload is rare to find for a tight end, and this usage should continue for the rest of the season. The Broncos don’t have many reliable pass-catchers, and Fant has the ability to make a big play every time he touches the ball. If you’re stuck in tight end hell, Fant could be the guy to bring stability at the position.
Jacob Hollister
Russell Wilson is playing at a ridiculous level this year, and anyone catching passes from him is going to have some sort of fantasy football relevance. With Will Dissly done for the season, Wilson has started turning to third-year tight end Jacob Hollister. In Weeks 9-10, Hollister recorded a combined 12 receptions on 16 targets for 99 yards and three touchdowns. His role should continue to grow as he continues to gain Wilson’s trust, especially since Tyler Lockett might miss Week 12’s action. Lockett is easily the best receiving threat on Seattle’s roster, so Hollister will see some of those vacated targets. There’s no such thing as a safe tight end streamer, but Jacob Hollister carries more security than most.
Ryan Griffin
Chris Herndon is done for the year, but that doesn’t mean that the New York Jets can’t have a fantasy-relevant tight end. Ryan Griffin has quietly strung together a few solid weeks of play, culminating in Sunday’s five-catch, 109-yard, and one-touchdown performance. This wasn’t Griffin’s first big showing of 2019, as the former Houston Texan has three other games in which he recorded double-digit fantasy points (PPR). Griffin and the Jets face off against an Oakland Raiders team which cannot stop anything through the air. Throw Griffin into your lineup if you need a quick start.
Rob Gronkowski
Rob Gronkowski is reportedly making a big announcement and joked around on Facebook about coming back to the field. This is almost certainly a marketing ploy for something he’s selling, but you should put in a claim on the off chance he’s actually returning to the NFL.
