Some of the highlights of the Tennessee Titans easiest games are against the likes of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders among others. Tennessee should be able to win most of this half of their schedule with ease, and in turn, put them in a good position to make the playoffs.
Check out the eight toughest games on the 2019 Tennessee Titans schedule.
Tennessee Titans Easiest Games of 2019
9. Week 13: at Indianapolis Colts
This game is a tough one to predict. It doesn’t really fall into the easy or difficult category. The Colts are a solid team and are at home, which would be a check for the difficult side. However, the loss of Andrew Luck and the uncertainty surrounding Brissett makes it a very winnable game for the Titans. The major key to a victory in this game for the Titans is going to be playing smart football and not turning the ball over. As with any road game, or any game at all for that matter, if you win the time of possession battle, you will often win the game.
10. Week 15: vs Houston Texans
The Houston Texans come to town in what is the final divisional matchup of the season for the Titans. The recent news about Texans running back Lamar Miller and his torn ACL certainly make this game just a bit easier for Tennessee. With that being said Houston is still a noteworthy opponent and the Titans can’t take them lightly. What gives Tennessee the edge here is that they will likely be more well-rested for this game due to their late bye week, and the game will be played in Tennessee. The key for a Tennessee win in this game is going to be just like any other game against Houston, limit J.J. Watt. Keeping him away from Mariota is going to be key in this game if the Titans want to win.
11. Week Two: vs Indianapolis Colts
This game could easily have been higher on the list with the announcement of Andrew Luck‘s retirement. The Indianapolis Colts will now head into the season with Jacoby Brissett at the helm of their offense, which isn’t really bad, but it isn’t ideal. Tennessee should be able to get to Brissett by mixing up their coverages and giving him different looks throughout the game. With that being said the Colts are still a good team, but the only way the Titans drop this one at home is by beating themselves.
12. Week 12: vs Jacksonville Jaguars
In Week 12, the Titans face another division foe in the Jacksonville Jaguars. What puts this matchup on the easiest games list is simply the fact that the Titans are home and will be well-rested coming off of their bye week. The Jags should be fairly good considering they signed a competent quarterback in Nick Foles, however they aren’t a very well-coached team and will definitely make silly mistakes. Being able to capitalize on these mistakes will be the key to the Titans walking out of this game victorious.
13. Week Six: at Denver Broncos
The Titans head to the Mile High City for this Week Four clash with the Denver Broncos. As far as the venue goes this will be a tough task for Tennessee as the altitude of Denver makes it a hard place to play. However, the Broncos, while still a solid team, are not what they once were. Whether Joe Flacco is at quarterback or rookie Drew Lock, the Titans should be able to limit them enough on offense to come out of this one with a win.
14. Week Eight: vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In Week Eight, the Titans play the NFC South basement dwellers in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay doesn’t have a whole lot going for them heading into the 2019 season. They did get an upgrade at head coach with the hiring of Bruce Arians. However, that will only do so much with the lackluster roster they currently have. Titans fans should expect a relatively easy win in this game. The key here is for Tennessee to play a clean game and not beat themselves.
15. Week Five: vs Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills come to Nashville in Week Five and Titans fans should expect nothing but a win here. Buffalo is still trying to find their identity as a team behind second-year quarterback Josh Allen. The Titans are a more complete team than the Bills and they are also more well-coached. These two factors in addition to this being a home game should give the Titans the upper hand against the Bills.
16. Week 14: at Oakland Raiders
This Week 14 matchup is far and away the easiest game of the year for the Titans. Even though the Raiders had a solid draft and added Antonio Brown, the fact remains that they still aren’t that good. The Titans are better than Oakland in all three phases of the game and should have no problem taking care of them, even on the road.
