The Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed veteran free agent safety Corey Graham to a one-year deal. Graham was part of the team that broke the Philly curse and won the Super Bowl last February.

Graham played with the Philadelphia Eagles on a one-year deal in 2017. He only made a single start but did appear in 14 games and made two interceptions in the regular season. That total was tied for fifth best on the team with Malcolm Jenkins and Rasul Douglas. He also picked off Case Keenum in the fourth quarter of the team’s 38-7 win that clinched a spot in Super Bowl LII.

The 11-year veteran made a fairly pronounced impact two weeks later against the New England Patriots. He made a total of eight tackles which was second on the team behind cornerback Jalen Mills. Graham won his second Super Bowl ring as a result of the Eagles 41-33 upset, with his first coming as a member of the Baltimore Ravens five years earlier.

Prior to his stint in Philly, Graham spent three seasons with the Buffalo Bills. A native of Buffalo, he led the team with 122 tackles in 2015 as well as 15 passes defended the previous year. But he had a fairly quiet third season in Buffalo. As a result, the team released Graham with a year remaining on the four-year contract they initially signed him to.

Graham was a part of the 2012 Ravens team that made it to Super Bowl XLVII, beating the San Francisco 49ers 34-31. In the divisional round against the Denver Broncos, Graham tallied two interceptions including a pick-six of Peyton Manning in the first quarter of Baltimore’s 38-35 win. The following year, he finished with a career-high four interceptions despite starting just five games.

The 32-year-old spent the first five seasons of his pro career with the Chicago Bears who took him in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He didn’t make a start as a rookie but did so nine times during his sophomore campaign, recording his first career interception in Week Seven against the Minnesota Vikings. He made his lone Pro Bowl in 2011, one of five Bears who did so that year including 2018 Hall of Fame class member Brian Urlacher.
