The Arizona Cardinals made waves today when they signed former Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals receiver Greg Little to a one-year contract. Little, the four-year NFL veteran, has not appeared in a regular season game since 2014. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport first had the news.

Breaking: Greg Little Signs with Arizona Cardinals

Little first arrived in the NFL as the Cleveland Browns 2011 second-round draft pick. On a talent-barren offense, Little became an immediate contributor. Playing in all 16 games and starting 12, Little finished his rookie campaign with 61 receptions for 709 yards and two touchdowns.

While his rookie campaign had promise, Little’s rookie year proved to be his career best. Little’s yards and receptions decreased in each of the next two seasons with the Cleveland Browns. All too synonymous with drops, the Browns moved on from Little after the 2013 campaign.

The Bengals took a flier on Little in 2014, but he hardly made an impact on that playoff squad. Playing in just six games, Little recorded just six catches for 69 yards. He did little to impress during his time in the league, and hasn’t been on a roster since.

Little joins a receiving crew led by Larry Fitzgerald, Brice Butler, and J.J. Nelson. In a corresponding move, Arizona released former journeyman wide receiver Cobi Hamilton. Hamilton first entered the league in 2014 but didn’t record his first catch until 2016.

Hamilton’s best season came in 2016 when he served as the fourth receiver on the Pittsburgh Steelers. During that campaign, Hamilton recorded 17 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, Hamilton added an additional four receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown during the Steelers playoff run.

Hamilton played three games for the Houston Texans in 2017. During his time on the field, the Arkansas product caught just one pass for eight yards.
