Odell Beckham was in a glass case of emotion in the wake of the New York Giants playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. And he broke out of it in rather astonishing fashion post-game.
The flamboyant Giants wide receiver punched a hole in the wall after speaking with the media, multiple outlets were reporting. This after a quiet performance by the third-year man out of LSU in his team’s 38-13 loss to Green Bay. Beckham finished the game with four catches for 28 yards and no touchdowns.
The yardage total was fifth on the team and the second worst of his career.

Odell Beckham Meltdown: Giants Receiver Reportedly Punches Wall After Playoff Loss
According to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio, the incident has prompted an investigation by NFL security. This included interviewing Lambeau Field grounds crew members who discovered the hole. Paolantonio also reported that Beckham was seen banging his head on the door outside the Giants locker room.
Beckham caused a stir earlier in the week when it was revealed him and fellow Giants wide receivers traveled to Miami on Monday. This came a day after their win over the Washington Redskins to close out the season. A now heavily circulated picture shows the group partying on a boat that apparently included celebrity musicians Trey Songz and Justin Bieber.
The excursion is now eliciting a great deal of criticism given the decisive nature of the Giants defeat Sunday. It’s certainly calling into question whether Beckham and the other players who joined him in South Florida were adequately prepared for Green Bay. Sunday’s game marked Big Blue’s first playoff appearance since 2011.
This isn’t the first time Beckham suffered a meltdown of sorts during the season. In week three, an emotional 29-27 loss to the Redskins, Beckham struck a kicking net on the sideline with his helmet. In the following weeks, he became self-deprecating about it, even doing a mock proposal during the Giants week six win over the Baltimore Ravens. Beckham had 222 receiving yards and two touchdowns that game.
For now, the fiery personality and his Giants team will have to deal with their season coming to an end. In Beckham’s case, there will be fallout on multiple fronts. Not only is he going to take a lot of flack for the Miami trip. But now his propensity for losing his temper is back in the news once more.
