The New Jersey Devils trade P.A Parenteau to the Nashville Predators. This is the point in the season where teams are looking to solidify their rosters for the upcoming playoff push. Things are no different for P.A Parenteau. Parenteau is a solid veteran who has contributed positively for every roster he has been a part of. Parenteau is journeyman who’s played for seven teams in the nine years he’s been in the league; however he is a good short-term option for the Predators.

P.A Parenteau will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and currently has a cap-hit of $1.25 million.
He was a good player for the New Jersey Devils in 2016 before being traded to the Predators. In 59 games he has 13 goals and 14 assists for a total of 27 points on the season. With roughly NUMBER games left in the season, However, Parenteau has been a bright spot for New Jersey due to his offensive production and even though Parenteau moves around the league a lot, he can play well with any line.
Parenteau will likely play on the second or third line for the Predators. He provides depth and should help in the offensive zone greatly.
The Devils recoup a draft pick for a player who will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1st and who they claimed on waivers.
