The Dallas Stars will be without Roope Hintz for the next two games who is dealing with a lower-body injury.
Roope Hintz will not play tonight against Colorado for the #GoStars. Doubtful for Winnipeg and probable for Calgary. Lower-body according to Jim Montgomery. Bishop in net.

Roope Hintz Injured
According to head coach Jim Montgomery, Hintz will not be in the lineup against the Colorado Avalanche Tuesday night. It is unclear when the injury occurred, however, Hintz took a check from Haydn Fleury in the third period on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens. Although he played the remainder of the game, Hintz did not participate in the team’s morning skate.
The injury is severe enough where he is being ruled out for a game against the Winnipeg Jets in six days’ time. There is hope he could return to the lineup when the Stars battle the Calgary Flames on Wednesday, November 13th. Through 16 games this season, Hintz leads the Stars in scoring with 11 points (nine goals and two assists).
Looking Ahead
With Hintz out of the lineup look for Jason Dickinson to replace him on the Stars second line against the Avalanche and Jets. Dickinson centred a line of Jamie Benn and Joe Pavelski. Even though the Stars have turned it around after a slow start to the season, Hintz leaves a big hole on the second line. Hintz has been great for the Stars this season after bursting onto the scene during the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Even when the Stars struggled, Hintz could provide an offensive spark.
As the Stars began to win Hintz continued to produce but also had help from guys like Benn, Tyler Seguin, Alexander Radulov, and Pavelski. They will need to continue their scoring touch if the Stars hope to survive without Hintz in the lineup. After Tuesday night’s home game, the Stars travel to Western Canada, where it is no easy place to play.
