Updated: Multiple Boston Bruins Injuries

The Boston Bruins have announced that multiple players were playing through injuries. These players include Brad Marchand, Brandon Carlo, Zdeno Chara, Riley Nash, Jake Debrusk, Torey Krug, and Patrice Bergeron. All these players are expected to be ready by training camp.

Boston Bruins Injuries

The Boston Bruins injuries are as follows:

Brad Marchand was said that he dealt with a groin injury for the last six of seven games of the playoffs. This season he had 34 goals and 51 assists for 85 points. He also added 63 minutes in penalties.

Brandon Carlo, who suffered a broken ankle on March 31st said he feels fantastic and should be walking in another week or so. He is expected to be ready for camp. This season he had six assists in 76 games. He also added 45 minutes in penalties.

Zdeno Chara dealt with an upper-body injury throughout the playoffs. This season he seven goals and 17 assists for 24 points in 73 games. He also added 60 minutes in penalties. He had a goal and two assists in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games this year.

Riley Nash suffered a concussion when he took a puck to the ear late in the season. This season he had 15 goals and 26 assists for 41 points. He also added 18 minutes in penalties. He had an assist in nine Stanley Cup Playoff games this year.

Jake Debrusk suffered an ACL joint sprain in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the  Tampa Bay Lightning. This year he had 16 goals and 27 assists for 43 points in 70 games. He also added 19 minutes in penalties. He had six goals and two assists in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games this year.

Torey Krug suffered a fractured ankle in Game 4 of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He will not require surgery but will be in a boot for two months. This year he 14 goals and 45 assists for 59 points in 76 games. He also added 36 minutes in penalties.

Patrice Bergeron said he missed Game four with concussion-like symptoms. He was also dealing with a groin injury. This season he had 30 goals and 33 assists for 63 points. He also added 26 minutes in penalties. He had six goals and 10 assists in 11 Stanley Cup Playoff games this year.

What Does This Mean for the Future

These injuries shouldn’t hurt the Bruins as all these players are expected to be back and healthy for the start of training camp next season.
