The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that they will be without forward Brandon Dubinsky for the next six-to-eight weeks. Dubinsky fractured his orbital bone in a fight with Zack Kassian of the Edmonton Oilers during Tuesday Night’s game between the two teams. The Oilers defeated the Blue Jackets by a score of 7-2.

Brandon suffered an orbital bone fracture that will keep him out of the lineup for six to eight weeks,” said general manager Jarmo Kekalainen. “At this time, the damage has not affected the function of his eye and long-term vision. He will continue to be monitored closely by our medical team.”
Brandon Dubinsky Suffers Fractured Orbital Bone
The 31-year-old has three goals and nine assists for 12 points in 31 games this season. He also has 19 penalty minutes. In 731 career games, Dubinsky has scored 144 goals, 276 assists and 420 points with 855 penalty minutes. He has played for the Blue Jackets and the New York Rangers during his 12-year NHL career.
The Blue Jackets next game is tonight when they take on the New York Islanders.
