MnM Hockey Podcast: Rocky Wirtz, Can You Improve the All-Star Game, More

Rocky Wirtz

Last Word on Hockey presents The MnM Hockey Podcast. The latest addition to the stable of LWOH Hockey Podcast Content. Every week, Alex Metzger and Chace McCallum will share their thoughts on the news of the week, have a variety of guests from the world of hockey as well as spending some time on original segments. Sit back, listen, and enjoy some NHL news, analysis, and discussion.

Rocky Wirtz and the NHL All-Star Game

Alex and Chace are back and recording before NHL All-Star weekend. However, before they can highlight anything that happened from there, they need to look into some much more important issues. That being Chicago Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz snapping on two reporters when asked about Kyle Beach. Alex and Chace give their thoughts on it and just why this helps show the owner, who represents the organization, has learned nothing from this whole process and wants to sweep it under the rug. It’s a shameful look on the league and team.

Switching to some actual hockey content, the guys focus on the NHL All-Star game. They recorded this before the weekend itself so they only previewed the weekend. But the bigger focus was the overall lack of excitement itself. It’s pretty telling when two of the most diehard NHL fans have no passion to tune in. So, how can the NHL improve the weekend as a whole? Finally, they look at a new General Manager hiring and wrap up with a game of “Where Are They Now?”

Who are Alex and Chace? Alex and Chace are both from the Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. Both of them grew up playing hockey and shortly after fell in love with analyzing it. Chace is a noted Leafs and Penguins fan, while Alex is a die-hard Senators fan. You can find Alex’s work at LastWordOnHockey.com and milehighhockey.com.
