The NHL has postponed the Ottawa Senators next three games due to 10 players in Covid-protocol.
The NHL will postpone games vs. New Jersey Tuesday along with Thursday vs. Nashville and Rangers here in Ottawa Saturday because of the COVID-19 outbreak with 10 players in protocol. The club has cancelled its flight to New Jersey. #Sens

Ottawa Senators Games Postponed, 10 Players in COVID Protocol
As per Bruce Garrioch, the Ottawa Senators have cancelled their flight out to New Jersey and postponed games until after Saturday. Ottawa was supposed to play the New York Rangers.
These will be the first games cancelled this year due to Covid. The NHL didn’t mandate vaccines for its players but the NHL started with all but four players being fully vaccinated.
Last season there was a lot of schedule juggling going on to accommodate the outbreaks of Covid. The Vancouver Canucks were one of the teams that were hit the hardest when they had an outbreak keep them away from the ice for 24 days. 25 players and coaches tested positive for Covid-19, the largest number of players at one time from one team.
With the spread of Covid-19 significantly decreased this season, this recent outbreak comes as a great concern. The NHL spent a lot of time preparing for this 2021-22 season to make it as safe as possible for players, fans, and everyone else involved in day-to-day operations.

Forwards: Drake Batherson, Alex Formenton, Dylan Gambrell, Connor Brown, Austin Watson
Defenceman: Nikita Zaitsev, Joshua Brown, Victor Mete, Nick Holden
Goalie: Matt Murray
There is no plan yet as to when Ottawa will replay these games.
The Ottawa Senators struggles continue this season. After finishing last season with some strong play, there was some optimism that the Sens would be more competitive this year. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. The Senators sit dead-last in the Eastern Conference with a record of 4-10-1 for nine points.
Obviously, with the Covid outbreak, the state of their season is the least of their concerns. We all hope for a speedy recovery for everyone involved
