After trading Nathan Beaulieu last week and losing Alexei Emelin in the expansion draft, The Montreal Canadiens have made a move to add depth back to the left side of their defence. General manager Marc Bergevin has acquired David Schlemko from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for a 2019 fifth round draft pick. The Knights took Schlemko from the San Jose Sharks in the expansion draft. The team announced the move on their twitter account.
