Best Dallas Stars by Sweater Number: 61 through 75

Today, we continue with another edition of “Best Dallas Stars by Sweater Number.” This round features a few forwards and a goalie. Here are the best Dallas Stars by sweater number 61 through 75.

#63 – Mike Ribeiro (Forward)

Evgenii Dadonov currently wears 63 for Dallas, but two others have also worn the sweater. Out of the three players, Ribeiro impacted the team the most. He spent six years in Dallas, putting up 407 points in 461 games. Also, he was a 2008 All-Star in addition to multiple seasons among the league’s leaders in assists. He finished his 17-year career with over 1,000 games played and more than 700 points.

#64 – Tanner Kero (Forward)

Kero is the only No. 64 for Dallas to play in more than one NHL game. He lasted five years in the league with Chicago and Dallas, scoring 11 goals in 134 games. He appeared in 62 games over two seasons with the Stars and had 13 points (three goals and 10 assists).

#65 – Chris Conner (Forward)

No one else has worn the No. 65 sweater. Conner played his first three NHL seasons in Dallas before moving on to Pittsburgh, Detroit, Phoenix, and Washington. He appeared in 180 games in nine seasons yet never became a regular in anyone’s lineup.

#66 – Never Been Worn

#67 – Never Been Worn

#68 – Jaromir Jagr (Forward)

The legendary forward still plays overseas and spent 24 years in the NHL with nine different franchises. Dallas added itself to that list in 2013, although Jagr only played 34 games for the Stars. Still, he is the only player to wear No. 68 in Dallas and probably deserves this spot based on his legendary career alone.

Jagr played over 1,700 NHL games, won two Stanley Cups, and received countless other honours. He has also scored the fourth-most career goals in NHL history.

#69 – Never Been Worn

#70 – Braden Holtby (Goaltender)

Holtby is the only player to have worn the No. 70 sweater in Dallas. He spent most of his career with the Washington Capitals, where he helped lead the franchise to its first Stanley Cup championship. Moreover, he won a Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s best goalie, and played in five All-Star games. Also, he won a Jennings Trophy as a member of the Caps. Holtby played 12 NHL seasons and appeared in 24 games for Dallas in his final year. That year he posted a .913 save percentage and a 2.78 goals-against average.

#71 – Never Been Worn

#72 – Erik Cole (Forward)

Cole’s career spanned 13 seasons and included more than 600 games, 532 points, and a Stanley Cup. While his best years were with the Carolina Hurricanes, he did spend almost three seasons with Dallas before being traded to Detroit at the end of his career. In Dallas, he played 160 games and had 69 points.

#73 – Michael Ryder (Forward)

Three players wore No. 73 in Dallas, and Ryder rises above the rest. The forward scored 41 goals in 101 games with the Stars from 2011 through 2013 and played 11 seasons in the NHL. He was also a member of the 2003-04 All-Rookie Team and won a Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011. Interestingly enough, Dallas traded him to Montreal for Cole in 2013.
