NHL Trade Deadline and More

Alex is back with another episode of the Last Word on Sens Podcast! Today, Jacob Billington joins him as the two have lots to discuss. They start by discussing the recent run of play from this Ottawa Senators team and why it has resulted in more points. From there, they discuss how they may attack the NHL Trade Deadline and what the most important thing for this team is going forward.

They break down where they see names such as Vladimir Tarasenko, Joshua Norris, and Thomas Chabot fitting into the roster long-term. As well as breaking down the early returns of Shane Pinto and what he has brought to the team. They wrap things up by examining what has led to this team underperforming again and what a new management and ownership group can do to help prevent it from happening going forward.

Who is Alex Metzger? Alex is from the Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. He grew up playing hockey and shortly after fell in love with analyzing it.  Alex is a die-hard Senators fan and has been his whole life… Despite growing up in the middle of Leaf land.
