2022 NHL Awards
Alex and Chace are back after a week off. This week, they are taking a look at the 2022 NHL awards. With the playoffs starting next week, they figured this was the best time to recap everything that has happened this season with an awards show. To start, they take a look at the Calder and Jack Adams trophies. Discussing why they both have left out the player who might be the favourite to win the Calder this season. With the Jack Adams, there is a consensus pick, however, both Alex and Chace admit there are a bunch of good candidates.
From there, they look at the three biggest awards in the Vezina, Norris, and Hart. A very rare occurrence for these award shows is how many players Alex and Chace agree on. Alex also throws in some honourable mentions as they talk about other players who have had amazing years that just missed the mark. Finally, they wrap it up with a Selke conversation and look at why someone who has won a few Selke’s maybe undeservingly, absolutely deserves it this year.
Who are Alex and Chace? Alex and Chace are both from the Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. Both of them grew up playing hockey and shortly after fell in love with analyzing it.
