Last Word on Hockey Show: Vancouver Canucks, Dynamic Duo In Anaheim, Trade Stock Rising
Vancouver Canucks
Jim opens the show welcoming everyone back to the show. After some pleasantries, the boys dive into the changes with the Vancouver Canucks. Jim Benning and Travis Green are out, Jim Rutherford and Bruce Boudreau are in. Jim mentions the team is still looking for a permanent general manager. Coach Jay notes that Vancouver will be happy with Rutherford considering his track record with Carolina and Pittsburgh. Marc notes that Boudreau is the perfect coach for this team especially with offensive talents like J.T. Miller and Conor Garland.

Philadelphia Flyers
The show then moves over to talking about the Flyers. Alain Vigneault out as head coach and Mike Yeo named interim head coach of the Flyers. As the boys talk about something had to give for Philadelphia. A 10-game losing streak cannot be tolerated especially in a division like the Metro. Jim notes and the boys agree the next coach of the Flyers could be Rick Tocchet. Marc and Jim agree Tocchet did a good job in Arizona and would be a great fit for this Flyers team. More changes could be coming in Philly.
New York Rangers
The boys then discuss the New York Rangers, and the two hits made by Jacob Trouba. In addition, the boys discuss Alexander Georgiev’s trade stock. He has been playing excellent filling in for Igor Shesterkin, who is sidelined with an injury. Marc notes Georgiev is the type of goalie who needs to play more not less to be successful. They all agree Gerard Gallant is one heck of a coach and the Rangers bounce back better after losses with him behind the bench. Once Shesterkin gets back healthy, teams will be calling for Georgiev and a team like Edmonton could use him.
Anaheim Ducks
Jim introduces a little West Coast bias to the show as he talks about the entertaining Anaheim Ducks. The boys discuss the goal by Sonny Milano and Trevor Zegras. In addition, the boys discuss how they have been so successful this season with Dallas Eakins behind the bench. They have the right mix with guys like Troy Terry and Ryan Getzlaf.
The boys also go around the league looking at the Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, New York Islanders, and much more.
Enjoy!
