The guys are back, and so are the playoffs! Today, Alex and Chace take a look at every single first-round matchup in the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs! Starting with the North, they discuss what to expect out of both series that we already know who will be playing in, despite not starting until Wednesday. Alex also has a rant about the scheduling decision from the league and why it makes no sense.

From there, they switch to the Eastern division and discuss why one matchup could be a bit of a mismatch for the higher seed. As well as why the other series looks like it might be close, despite being a blowout two seasons ago. Next, they take a look at the Central division in which there is once again a lopsided series and a close one. However, Chace and Alex wonder how long it may take Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos to get back to full health?

Finally, they end with the Western division where at the time, they didn’t have the exact matchups. However, the top two teams are so strong in this division they debate back and forth if it even matters.

Who are Alex and Chace? Alex and Chace are both from the Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. Both of them grew up playing hockey and shortly after fell in love with analyzing it. Chace is a noted Leafs and Penguins fan, while Alex is a die-hard Senators fan. You can find Alex’s work at LastWordOnHockey.com and milehighhockey.com.
