NHL Predictions Including Calgary Flames vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Calgary Flames vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Head-to-head: Flames 2-6 Maple Leafs

In the featured game of the night, we have the Calgary Flames vs. Toronto Maple Leafs facing for the last time this season. With the Maple Leafs winning the past three meetings against the Flames, they are looking to continue that tradition. After making a few big moves before the trade deadline, one including the Calgary Flames. The Maple Leafs are all-in on winning the Stanley Cup this year, solidifying their goaltending group with David Rittich and the forwards with Nick Foligno. The Maple Leafs will have to battle with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Colorado Avalanche as the Stanley Cup front-runner this season. Especially with the way Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and Jack Campbell are playing this season.

On the other side of the ice, the Flames are fresh off a win that ended a four-game losing streak. With a shutout win over the Washington Capitals the other night, the Flames look to gain another over the Maple Leafs. With a quarter of the season left, the Flames need all the wins they can get. Six points behind Montreal for the final playoff spot are three more games than the Canadians. After the moves they made at Trade Deadline, it looks like the top four are set in stone.

Prediction: Maple Leafs win 4-1

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Nashville Predators

Head-to-head: Lightning 6-1 Predators

The Tampa Bay Lightning have pretty much owned the Nashville Predators this season. Shutting them out the other night, Tampa looks poised for another Stanley Cup run. After adding David Savard to their blueline, and Andrei Vasilevskiy in the net. The Lightning is going to be extremely hard to score against. Tied for first in the Discover Central Division, the Lightning will do everything they can to secure the top seed by the time the Stanley Cup playoffs roll around.

The Predators went from zero to hero, real quick. At one point in the more recent past, people talked about the Predators as a team that could unload everything and start a rebuild early. Yet, after a six-game winning streak to end the month of March, the Predators find themselves in the fourth playoff spot, four points ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks. With Nashville hungrier than ever for a win, it’ll take everything they’ve got to win won against the defending Stanley Cup Champions.

Prediction: Lightning win 3-2

Florida Panthers vs. Dallas Stars

Head-to-head: Panthers 4-2 Stars

The last time these two teams met, the Dallas Stars stormed out of the gate with three goals in the first period. Eventually betting the Florida Panthers 4-1, the Stars have been among the more resilient groups across the whole NHL. With COVID issues, on top of weather cancelling games. The Stars schedule has become highly compact for a short period of time. Opening up a five-game homestand against the Panthers every game means more than the last.

When it comes to the Florida Panthers, they find themselves in the middle of their second losing streak of the season. Desperate to find their groove, along with some wins. The Panthers’ general manager has added some more depth to the roster. They are adding Sam Bennett, Nikita Gusev and Brandon Montour to the line. A fresh start for all these players could do them a lot of good. With Duclair back in the line-up, the Panthers should look like their usual selves.

Prediction: Panthers win 2-1
