Los Angeles Kings Comic Captions for 2019-20

Anze Kopitar

Anze Kopitar is the Kings captain and has been in L.A. for 14 years now. The 6′-3″, 225-pound centre signed a lucrative eight-year, $80 million deal in January of 2016. This season he finished with 21 goals, 41 assists good for 62 points while participating in 70 games. He is especially valuable on the power play where he collected seven tallies while assisting on 14 others. His shooting accuracy was at 15.6 percent.

Kopitar is effective in the faceoff circle too. His 55.2 percent success rate was one of the best in the NHL. It has been his specialty working on the man-advantage unit over his career. He has 95 goals and 240 assists.

His career in L.A. shows he is one of the top players in the league. He has played in 1,073 games with 333 goals and 617 assists for 950 points. The soon to be 33-year-old forward may be slowing down just a bit but still carries an impressive 0.89 points per game.

Here’s our Los Angeles Kings comic caption for Anze Kopitar.

No way Mitch, I don’t care how gassed you are I’m not carrying you to the bench!”

Alex Iafallo

Alex Iafallo has been with the Kings for three years and enjoyed his most productive season thus far. He added 17 goals and 26 assists good for 43 points in 70 games. He trailed Kopitar by 19 points but still was the second-highest scorer on the squad. Like Kopitar, he was a valuable power play member with six tallies.

The Kings inked Iafallo to a two-year $4.85 million contract last July. He will be an unrestricted free agent after next season and the team may give him a longer-term deal since he has played so well.

The Eden, New York native seems to have a bright future on the forward line of the Kings. The coaching staff has confidence in his abilities as displayed by his almost 19 minutes of ice time per game.

His next season will define his time in the city of angels. If he produces well again, he may be the future-forward the team envisions him to be.

Dustin Brown

Dustin Brown is 35-years-old and still performing well. His 17 goals with 18 assists in 66 games makes him an integral part of the Kings. He has been a King for 16 years and has always been a tough competitor and physical player as evidenced by his 2.55 hits per game over his career.

He is signed until the end of the 2021-22 season at an AAV of $5.875 million. It’s uncertain if his age will decrease his output over the next two seasons. He certainly would love to get back into the playoffs again for the first time since the 2017-18 season when the Vegas Golden Knights knocked the Kings out in four games. That season Brown had 28 goals and 33 assists putting him in second on the team in scoring.

While Brown is more of a role player now, he still can make a difference in the outcome of games. Don’t count him out quite yet.
