Today we cover the Vancouver Canucks comic captions for the 2019-20 season.

Vancouver Canucks Comic Captions for 20019-20

J.T. Miller

J.T. Miller has been a pleasant surprise this season for the Canucks. He has appeared in 69 games with 27 goals and 45 assists good for 72 points. So, he’s scoring at a 1.04 per game average. His power-play unit help is also noticeable with nine goals and 16 assists. Miller is a flat out sharpshooter with a 16.4 percent accuracy rate.

But Miller isn’t all about scoring. He led the team in hits with 123 using his 6′-1″ 218-pound frame. His possession stats are very impressive. He had a 54.8 Corsi For and an 8.6 Relative Corsi at even strength. Once he has the puck, he knows what to do with it.

While with the Tampa Bay Lightning last season he only collected 47 points. That 25-point turnaround has certainly helped the Canucks’ eighth-ranked offence. He can score, control the puck and hit. What more can you ask from a forward? Acquiring Miller was an astute move by the team.

Elias Pettersson

Elias Pettersson has shown his potential of being a superstar in the NHL. In just his second season he collected 27 goals and 39 assists for 66 points in 68 games. He also shows consistency, as last year he not only won the Calder Trophy given to the best rookie of the year, he also added almost identical numbers as he did this season.

He’s a dangerous shooter averaging 18 percent accuracy when he aims at the net. The fifth overall selection in the 2017 draft has all the tools to dominate for the Canucks. The only area for improvement for Pettersson may be in the faceoff circle. He carries a rather poor 41.1 percent of winning the draw, but he’s still young at 21-years-old.

If the playoff series are played, he will be a huge offensive weapon for the Canucks if/when they face the Minnesota Wild.

One thing the team needs to keep in mind is they had better start saving for this new contract after the end of his entry-level deal after next season. The way he’s been playing he’s in for a healthy increase in his bank account.

Quinn Hughes

Quinn Hughes exemplifies how much talent is in the Hughes family of hockey players. You can rest assured there is quite a rivalry between brothers. In his first full season in the NHL, he showed what potential is all about. He gained eight goals and 45 assists in 68 games. His brother Jack Hughes was the first overall pick last summer had only 21 points as a forward.

Quinn has displayed an uncanny ability to step right in and take charge. He was the main quarterback of the Canucks’ power play and contributed three goals and 22 assists. His maturity level is mind-boggling. When you watch how smooth and calm he is if you didn’t know better, you’d think you were watching a 10-year veteran.

With Hughes and Pettersson both completing their three-year entry-level deals, the Canucks will need to determine how to give both of them new contracts after next season. That should be an interesting financial conundrum. Keeping both of them on payroll has got to be foremost in the team’s thought pattern.

And which Hughes brother is playing the best? Quinn… so far.
