Today we cover the Winnipeg Jets comic captions for the 2019-20 season.
Winnipeg Jets Comic Captions for 2019-20
Kyle Connor
Kyle Connor has been an offensive force for the Jets. This season he collected 38 goals and 35 assists for 73 points in 71 games. The team reinforced their young forward’s future by signing him to a seven-year, $50 million contract just before the 2019-20 season began. He’s proving his worth with his performance thus far.
Connor is an accurate shooter with 15.9 percent of his shots this season hitting paydirt. His ice time has increased almost two additional minutes per game due to his production.
He was the Jets’ 17th overall selection in the 2015 NHL Entry draft and with his 1.03 points per game average, he looks to be a valuable player in the projected playoffs against the Calgary Flames.
Connor is only 23-years-old and has a bright future with the team. He’ll be around for six more years so watch this exciting player blossom as time goes by.

“Really Shea, a stick to the kidney? I think that’s a little excessive.”

Mark Scheifele
Mark Scheifele is another young forward who has excelled well for the Jets. This season he has tabulated 29 goals and 44 assists in 71 games. To demonstrate his offensive prowess, he has averaged over a point per game since the 2016-17 season. He is on the Jets’ top line consisting of Connor, and Blake Wheeler. Try and stop that line. That line accounted for 89 goals and 122 assists this season.
Scheifele was an excellent contributor to the power play gathering 10 goals and 10 assists. He was the Jets’ seventh overall pick in the 2011 draft. This displays the draft prowess of the team.
In July of 2016, the team signed Scheifele to an eight-year contract worth $49 million. He along with Connor looks to add some future success to the organization. Having them both signed to long-term contracts was a wise decision.

“What a great opportunity to practice one of my ballet moves.”

Connor Hellebuyck
Connor Hellebuyck will be a strong candidate for the coveted Veniza Trophy after his performance this season. With a goalie as dominating as Hellebuyck, the Jets chances in the projected playoffs rise considerably.
His 31-21-5 record this season shows he’s a workhorse, appearing in a league-high 58 games. He had a stellar .922 save percentage and a solid 2.57 goals-against-average. The 130th pick in the 2012 draft has shown he is a dominating netminder and helps his team every time he steps onto the ice.
The Jets signed him to a six-year $37 million contract back in July of 2018. To have three budding stars in Connor, Scheifele, and Connor all signed for years to come should bode well for the team’s future.
Hellebuyck has led the league in saves over the past two seasons. He also recorded six shutouts in 2019-20 to lead in that category as well.
With a tough series facing the Jets, the team has to feel pretty confident having Hellebuyck guarding their net. He can downright decide games with his circus saves.

” A little help here please, I’ve got Matthews and Tavares ganging up on me.”
