Miracle On Ice
Jersey Jim and Joe open the show by telling the audience they are going to being put a smile on their face during this time when everyone is stuck at home. Jim talks about the article he wrote about how the Miracle on Ice still has an impact 40 years later. He introduces their guest Dan Carubia, who reached out to Jim on Twitter and the conversation goes from there.
Joe and Jim welcome Dan on the show finally. Originally this was supposed to be done back in February, but some technical difficulties the episode was pushed back. The boys let Dan talked about the build-up leading to that fateful day in Lake Placid all those years ago. Dan talks about how he saw the 1960 Men’s Olympic Hockey team in person before they won gold in Squaw Valley.
Dan then goes into how he got to Lake Placid. He originally only had a ticket to the United States-Soviet game. However, he got to watch Team USA win gold against Finland. The boys let Dan continue to tell stories about the time period and what it took for those college kids to defeat the Soviet Union.
Come along for the ride down memory lane and let us take you back in time when one team rallied a nation.
