What This Means for the Future

With Gallagher out of the line-up, the Canadiens will move Ilya Kovalchuk back up to the top line. Kovalchuck who signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Canadiens has been impressive in his first three-game putting up three assists over those three games.

Matthew Peca will draw back into the Canadiens tonight will Gallagher out of the line-up. Peca has played in four games with the Habs this year. He has failed to record a point during those four games. This will be Peca’s first game since December 10th against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
