Rasmus Dahlin 2018 NHL Draft Grades Buffalo Sabres Prospects

Last Word on Hockey presents The 4th Line Hockey Podcast #189 – The 2018 NHL Draft. Coming from Calgary, AB, Carl and Joel provide their own unique and fun view of hockey. Every week the guys share their thoughts on the news of the week, have a variety of guests from the world of hockey as well as spending some time in segments like The Elimination Station, Joel’s Counselling Couch, The Rant Shack, and The Hot Seat.

The guys are back to talk about all that happened at the 2018 NHL draft weekend. But first, Carl saw Jurassic World. Would actually cloning dinosaurs be that terrible of an idea? We might find out.

The NHL Draft 2018

Carl’s real team and “former” bandwagon team made a deal as Brooks Orpik and Philipp Grubauer head to the Colorado Avalanche. Does this make Carl happy? Will this help the Washington Capitals sign John Carlson? (5 minutes after recording ended, we found out the answer)

The New York Islanders brought in Barry Trotz and had a great draft. Is that enough to get John Tavares to stay?

Ilya Kovalchuk is back in the NHL! But why did the Los Angeles Kings sign him?

The draft itself had some hits and some misses. Who were the winners and losers of the draft?

The Calgary Flames and Carolina Hurricanes made a deal, centred around Dougie Hamilton. The main take away from it though is that Dougie loves museums and apparently that’s a bad thing. We disagree.

Keep the podcast name suggestions coming!
