Nashville Predators Ryan Hartman Out 4-5 Months with Labrum Tear

The Nashville Predators have announced that forward Ryan Hartman will miss four-to-five months with a labrum tear in his shoulder.

This could affect any online betting towards the Predators.

Ryan Hartman Injures Labrum

This injury kept Hartman out of four games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It was not disclosed on how Hartman suffered the injury and how long he has been playing through it.

This season he had 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points. He also added 72 minutes in penalties. His possession numbers were 53 percent Corsi with a relative Corsi of 0.1 percent. He had two goals and one assist in nine Stanley Cup Playoff games this year. Hartman was acquired by the Predators in a trade deadline move.

Over his four-year NHL career, Hartman has played for the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators. He has put up 30 goals and 33 assists for 63 career points in 162 career games. He was originally drafted in the first round, 30th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

His best year was in 2016-2017 when he scored 19 goals and had 12 assists for 31 points in 76 games with Chicago.

What Does This Mean for the Future

The four-to-five month timeline should have him back in the for the start of next season. Hartman is set to become a restricted free agent after his three-year, $2.775 Million entry-level contract expires at the end of this season. It will be interesting to see if this injury affects his contract negotiations this off-season.

Hartman should fit into the bottom six of Nashville’s forwards for next year. He also played on the bottom six while in Chicago. Hartman played alongside Scott Hartnell and Calle Jarnkrok in Nashville’s Game 7 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. He replaced injured forward Mike Fisher. Hartman and the Predators will look to build on a President’s Trophy-winning campaign next season, and take the next step to winning a Stanley Cup.

Jarnkrok also injured his shoulder in the playoffs but is not expected to be in jeopardy of missing the start of next season.
