On this episode of the Last Word on Habs Pod, our fearless hosts discuss a myriad of topics, not all related to their beloved Montreal Canadiens. First, Connor and Johannes discuss how the snow can wreak havoc on your body. Connor recounts yet another outdoor hockey story that leads into Johannes’ go-to beer.
Getting back to the disappointment that is the Habs season, our hosts reflect on the Canadiens 4-1 win over Ottawa Super Bowl Sunday and the 5-3 loss to the Flyers in Philadelphia on February 8th. The conversation shifts to the fine line the Habs need to walk to be successful in the NHL and how this season is reflection them not being able to walk that line.
The conversation then shifts to the returning (for a second time) P.K. Subban. The hosts relive the trade (only a little, promise) and discuss an article Connor wrote about not getting over it. Our intrepid hosts then discuss the New York Rangers press release that took the hockey world by storm last week. Johannes then proves himself an ultimate insider by obtaining a copy of the Montreal Canadiens working draft of a press release about the state of the franchise (and club 1909).
