The 4th Line Hockey Podcast #158 – Dan Robson – Killer: My Life in Hockey

Doug Gilmour

Last Word on Hockey is pleased to present our new hockey podcast, The 4th Line Hockey Podcast. Coming from Calgary, AB and Nanaimo, BC, Carl and Joel provide their own unique and fun view of hockey. Every week the guys share their thoughts on the news of the week, have a variety of guests from the world of hockey as well as spending some time in segments like Joel’s Counselling Couch, The Rant Shack, and The Hot Seat.

This week in the NHL as Luke Witkowski, Matthew Tkachuk and Radko Gudas, to name a few, were gifted with suspensions. Were they fair and justified? Should they have gotten more?

Carey Price‘s injury has reared it’s ugly head again. What should the Montreal Canadiens do with their star goaltender?

Carl and Joel are then joined by Dan Robson, author of Killer: My Life in Hockey, to discuss the book co-authored by Joel’s favorite hockey player: Doug Gilmour. What was it like getting to know Dougie better? And how exactly did Gilmour meet Pat Burns when he came to Toronto?

The guys touch on the announcement of new outdoor games and question why we even care.

The New York Islanders had a busy week beating the two best teams in the NHL (and splitting a series against the Carolina Hurricanes). Are the Islanders a threat the rest of the way?

Lastly, a new batch of Must Watch Pavel Bure‘s of the Week are picked.
