Alexander Radulov Signs with Dallas Stars

The best forward on the free agent has finally signed as Alexander Radulov has signed a five-career contract with the Dallas. He had an outstanding first season back in the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens and it got him a very long contract. He had 18 goals and 54 points for them last season. Radulov was one of their best players helping the Habs get back into the playoffs. He was also the teams best forward in their first round loss to the New York Rangers, even scoring the overtime winner in Game 2, and a gorgeous goal in Game 3.

Alexander Radulov Signs

Signing Radulov is obviously one of the biggest moves of free agency and it dramatically improves the Stars not just this season but for many more to come. Despite being 30 years old, he still has some very good seasons left in the league and will continue to be an impact player as he gets into his 30’s. Radulov is a legit top six winger and can play on either wing, but prefers the right side. He is clearly a top six forward for his new club. He can also play on the top power play as he has an amazing wrist shot as well as great vision.

Radulov’s possession numbers were outstanding for the Canadiens last year as is CF% was 54.2%. Even though he’s only really played three full seasons in the NHL since he’s been in the KHL a lot, that number is outstanding.

For his NHL career, he has 65 goals and 156 points as he played in Nashville for parts of three years before playing this season with the Canadiens. It’ll be interesting to see where he slots into the lineup when the season starts in early October.
