Unrestricted free agent goaltender Ryan Miller has signed with the Anaheim Ducks. The new deal is worth $4 million and keeps Miller in Anaheim for two years.

Ryan Miller Signs with the Anaheim Ducks
Miller was drafted in the fifth round, 138th overall, back in the 1999 NHL Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. He spent 11 years in the crease for the Sabres before being traded to the St. Louis Blues at the 2014 NHL Trade Deadline, where he would play just 25 games in the regular season and playoffs.
From there, Miller went out to the west coast to play for the Vancouver Canucks. Signed to a three-year, $18 million contract, Miller has played three seasons in British Columbia.
During the 2016-17 season, Miller had an 18-29-6 record, with a .914 save percentage, and a 2.80 goals-against average. With Miller leaving Vancouver, it is now Jacob Markstrom‘s job in B.C.
Miller, 36, is a 14-year NHL veteran who has played for the Canucks, Blues and Sabres. In 709 career games, he has a 358-262-74 record with a .915 save percentage and 2.61 goals against average. He also has 39 career shutouts.
Miller won the 2010 Vezina Trophy and was named a First Team NHL All-Star that same year. He also played for Team USA in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, leading the team to a silver medal. Despite the gold medal game loss, Miller was named the MVP of the tournament. He was also named the best goaltender at the games.
Miller’s brother Drew Miller is a free agent forward, who played for the Detroit Red Wings last season.
