Lance Bouma, Seth Griffith Among Second Batch of Minor Signings

Lance Bouma and Seth Griffith were among many mid-afternoon signings as unrestricted free agency kicks into high gear on Saturday.

As free agency progresses, here are some more minor signings from around the National Hockey League:

Boston

Jordan Szwarz had 54 points in 65 games with the Providence Bruins on an AHL contract in 2016-17.

 

Buffalo

Matt Tennyson played 45 games in the NHL with the Carolina Hurricanes, scoring six assists.

Seth Griffith was an elite AHL scorer in 2016-17, although he was not qualified by the Leafs. He scored 44 points in 34 games with the Toronto Marlies.

Chicago

The Hawks have signed Lance Bouma, who scored seven points in 61 games with the Flames. Lance Bouma was bought out yesterday by the Flames.

Dallas

Patrik Nemeth scored three points in four games with Dallas, and three points in 40 games with the Texas Stars of the AHL.

The Stars have also brought in Brian Flynn, who scored 10 points in 51 games with the Montreal Canadiens.

Detroit

The Wings have brought in Turner Elson to help out with the defending Calder Cup champion Grand Rapid Griffins.

Los Angeles

Stepan Falkovsky scored 32 points in 54 games with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL in 2016-17. He was left unsigned by the Calgary Flames, the team that drafted him.

Minnesota

Alex Grant played 70 games with the Providence Bruins of the AHL in 2016-17, recording 49 points.

Ottawa

Tyler Randell scored 10 points in 59 games with the Providence Bruins. He has played 27 games in the NHL, scoring six goals.

San Jose

Antoine Bibeau was not qualified by the Toronto Maple Leafs, making him an unrestricted free agent. In 32 games with the Toronto Marlies, he posted a 3.08 GAA and a .894 SV%.

St. Louis

Oskar Sundqvist played primarily for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2016-17. In 63 games, the Swede scored 20 goals and 46 points. He appeared in 10 games with Pittsburgh, scoring no points. Sundqvist was acquired as a part of the Ryan Reaves trade.

Tampa Bay

Jamie McBain played 64 games with the Tucson Roadrunners of the AHL in 2016-17, scoring 43 points. In his career, he has played 348 games in the NHL, scoring 110 points. He brings valuable experience to the Syracuse Crunch next season.

Tampa has also brought in Michael Leighton to help fill the void left behind by Kristers Gudlevskis.

Washington

Anthony Peluso played 22 games with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL in 2016-17. Over his career, Peluso has played 142 games in the NHL, recording 14 points and 209 PIM. Peluso will likely play for the Hershey Bears in an enforcing role in 2017-18.

Minor Trade

Tom McCollum played primarily on loan for the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL, playing in 17 games. He posted a 2.10 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage.
