Greg McKegg, Ryan Stanton Among Minor Signings

Forward Greg McKegg and defenceman Ryan Stanton were among another batch of minor signings as free agency begins to wind down on Saturday.

With free agency on Saturday beginning to wind down, here are some more minor signings:

Calgary

Forward Marek Hrivik scored 40 points in 56 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack in 2016-17. He also dressed in 16 games for the Rangers, scoring two assists.

Dallas

Goaltender Mike McKenna finished the 2016-17 season with the Syracuse Crunch, posting a 2.87 GAA and a .901 SV%.

 

Defenceman Brent Regner played for the Springfield Thunderbirds, scoring 13 points in 28 games.

Edmonton

Defenceman Keegan Lowe split the 2016-17 season with the Carolina and Montreal organizations. In 49 games with the Charlotte Checkers, the 24-year-old recorded 12 points. In St. John’s, Lowe scored six points in 22 games.

Forward Mitch Callahan spent most of the year with the Grand Rapids Griffins, where he scored 43 points in 66 games. Callahan also played four games in Detroit, failing to record a point.

Goaltender Eddie Pasquale played the 2016-17 season with the Grand Rapids Griffins as well, posting a 2.43 GAA and a .919 SV% in 29 games.

Defenceman Ryan Stanton played 48 games in the AHL in 2016-17 split between the San Antonio Rampage and the Cleveland Monsters. Stanton recorded 12 points.

Pittsburgh

Defenceman Chris Summers scored 12 points in 72 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack in 2016-17.

Defenceman Jarred Tinordi played for the Tucson Roadrunners of the AHL in 2016-17, tallying 11 points in 64 games.

Defenceman Zach Trotman was limited to just nine games in 2016-17, scoring two assists with the Ontario Reign.

Forward Greg McKegg recorded seven points in 46 games split between the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning. In seven games in the AHL, he scored four points.

Forward Tom Sestito played for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, scoring 16 points in 33 games in 2016-17. He also suited up for Pittsburgh 13 times, tallying two assists and 48 PIM.

Defenceman Frank Corrado had 16 points in 35 games split between the Toronto Marlies and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. In four games between Toronto and Pittsburgh, Corrado went pointless.

Goaltender Casey DeSmith played for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins as well in 2016-17, posting a 2.01 GAA and a .926 SV% in 29 games.

Nashville

Forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie played 52 games with the Rockford IceHogs, scoring eight points in 2016-17.

New York Rangers

Forward Paul Carey was a point per game player with the Hershey Bears last year, scoring 55 points in 55 games. He was called up for a six-game stint in Washington, failing to score a point.

Forward Cole Schneider played for the Rochester Americans in 2016-17, scoring 63 points in 71 games. He was called up for four games, tallying one point with the Sabres.

Winnipeg

Forward Buddy Robinson scored 31 points in 66 games in the AHL split between the Binghamton Senators and the San Jose Barracuda. He also played four games for Ottawa, recording zero points.
