Goaltender Keith Kincaid has re-signed with the New Jersey Devils. He inks a two-year contract worth $2.5 million. It carries an AAV or cap hit of $1.25 million per season. The 27-year-old was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. He has played parts of four NHL seasons, all with the Devils. The team announced the move on their official twitter account.

Keith Kinkaid Re-Signs with the New Jersey Devils
Acting as the back-up to Cory Schneider, the Farmville, New York native played in 26 games for the Devils last season. He had an 8-13-3 record with a 2.64 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. He also had one shutout. In his four year NHL career, Kinkaid has played in 69 games, going 23-27-8 with a 2.68 goals against average and .912 save percentage. He also has three career shutouts.
Kinkaid was an unrestricted free agent that the Devils signed after two years at Union College playing or the Dutchmen. He signed in 2011, after winning the Ken Dryden Award as ECAC goaltender of the year in his sophomore season. Kincaid would make his NHL debut in 2012-13, but would not play another game, or become a regular until late in the 2014-15 season. Kinkaid also spent parts of four years playing for the Devils American Hockey League Affiliate in Albany.
Kinkaid will turn 28 on the fourth of July.
