Oregon Signs Top WR in 2025 Cycle, Dakorien Moore

From August 12, 2023, through May 16 of this year, Dakorien Moore was committed to LSU. His decommitment shook up the recruiting cycle and he re-opened his recruitment to a handful of top programs. On July 4, Moore made his decision. He plans to, “choose the path to be different and build a legacy,” at Oregon. He chose the Ducks in a hotly-contested recruitment war with Texas and Ohio State. In the weeks leading up to the early signing period, he completely shut down his recruitment and shut down any rumors of flipping.

Top-Rated 2025 Wide Receiver Dakorien Moore Signs With Oregon

247Sports has Moore as the top-rated wide receiver recruit in the 2025 cycle and the eighth-best overall player.

Moore is considered one of the more complete high school receiver recruits and his play at Duncanville High School in Texas has justified that. He has serious after-the-catch explosivity and ran a 10.40 100 and 21.70 200 as a track team member. As a junior, Moore logged over 21 yards per catch in a 70-catch, 1,500-plus-yard, 18-touchdown season.

He doesn’t have elite size but he makes up for it in every metric. He has an impressive catch radius and can score from anywhere on the field.

247Sports reports that he has a developed route tree and is a polished route runner. He can create separation from anywhere and overwhelms defensive backs with his impressive agility. At Duncanville, he gets to catch passes from future Alabama quarterback and Elite 11 Finals MVP, Keelon Russell. The pair will be looking to bring home a third consecutive Texas 6-A D-I State title this fall. He and Duncanville are set to play in the quarterfinals this weekend.

He is compared to Chris Olave and has the potential to be just as high of an NFL Draft pick, according to scouts. Moore is more than capable of doing anything and everything asked of him as a receiver and will likely contend for snaps as a true freshman.
