Another Anchor Has Dropped At Vanderbilt: Jalen Pinkney

Last Word on College Football continues to bring you the most important and biggest stories of national signing day. Another recruitment letter is in for an SEC school, and this time its the Vanderbilt Commodores who are making waves.

Another Anchor Has Dropped: Jalen Pinkney

Another anchor has dropped at Vanderbilt.  Jalen Pinkney is a three-star recruit. A 6-4, 225 pound defensive end from Norcross High School in Norcross, GA.  His older brother Jared is currently a red-shirt freshman tight-end at Vanderbilt.  Pinkney’s varsity stats are impressive.  According to 247 Sports he had 110 total tackles, 33 tackles for loss, and 15 sacks in his junior and senior years.  Pinkney is quick off the line, with an imposing ability to shed tackles.  He will only get better with James Dobson’s off-season workouts.  Pinkney will be an impactful player in Derek Mason’s 3-4 defense.

He may not have an immediate impact, but Pinkney is a player to watch as he develops. He could be someone we hear a lot from over the next few years.
