Terry Wilson 2018 Kentucky Recruiting Profile

One of the biggest questions going into the 2018 season is “who replaces Stephen Johnson at quarterback?” For Mark Stoops and the Cats believe they have the answer in Terry Wilson.

Rated as the number one dual threat quarterback in the 2018 class the six foot two Wilson chose the Cats over Nebraska among others. Many thought Wilson would end up at Nebraska due to the fact new coach Scott Frost first recruited him to Oregon in 2016. Wilson spent one year there then transferred to Garden City Community College in Kansas. He visited Kentucky two weeks ago and committed on December 10th. He is signing his letter of intent Wednesday evening in a ceremony in Norman, Oklahoma.

During his only season in the JUCO ranks Wilson threw for 2,113 yards with 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. In addition he ran for 518 yards and five touchdowns.

There is no doubt Wilson signing with Kentucky is arguably Stoops’ biggest commit since he came to Lexington. “Terry Touchdown” will arrive on campus in January and compete for the starting quarterback job during spring practice. Odds are when Kentucky lines up against Central Michigan on September 1st Wilson will be the guy under center.

Watch Wilson’s highlight reel below and you can see why the Cats are so excited to have him aboard.
