Four-Star LB David Reese Signs With Florida

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed a top South Florida recruit. Four-star linebacker David Reese has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a big signing for the Gators as Reese is one of the fastest rising recruits in the country. Florida head coach Dan Mullen is getting a very talented linebacker that can really make a huge impact on the Florida Gators defense. The Gators are in need of linebackers as they really struggled last season without Jarrad Davis and Alex Anzalone. Reese is the only linebacker that is signing with Florida Gators.

Who is David Reese?

David Reese is a four-star LB out of Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, Florida. The Florida LB commit is one of the top linebackers in the country. He was a tough get for the Gators as they had to battle with Miami for his services. Reese is a terrific linebacker who could make a huge impact in this recruiting class. He chose Florida over offers from Alabama, Miami and Michigan. His primary recruiter had been linebackers coach Tim Skipper.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Reese is the 288th ranked recruit and the 20th ranked outside linebacker in the country. According to Rivals, Reese is the 116th ranked recruit and the fourth ranked inside linebacker in the country. The Gators have added a really solid linebacker who could really make an impact in the upcoming season. The Gators are in dire need of linebackers and the Gators coaching staff has told him that they might use him as an outside linebacker in Todd Grantham’s new 3-4 defense.
