2021 Week 10 Heisman Rankings

2022 Week 11 Heisman Rankings

With just a few weeks remaining, there are only so many more opportunities for these players to create that Heisman moment. The debate remains whether or not this is more of the best player on the best team award or the best individual player award. However, getting to that conference championship game as a team is invaluable to giving the experts one final look on a huge stage. Before we get into the top half, let’s take a look at all of the contenders in our 2021 week 10 Heisman rankings.

Kenneth Walker III came in as the leader, but how will the committee view the first loss of the season for Michigan State? Sam Hartman and Kenny Pickett continue to put up insane numbers. However, will the team’s losses over the last couple of weeks be a big factor? And, what about Bryce Young and Matt Corral? They have come down to earth a little bit, but will they continue to drop? With that being said, let’s take a look as we unveil our 2021 week 10 Heisman rankings.

Top Five Candidates

1. Kenneth Walker III

RB | Michigan State                                                                                                                                                                        Next Game: 11/13 vs Maryland

Even in a losing performance, Walker managed to maintain his lead as the clear number one in this week’s rankings. He ran for 146 yards and a touchdown despite being down for a majority of the game. Walker should have another solid game this week as the Spartans entertain Maryland on Saturday. However, his Heisman chance will be determined over the last two games of the year against Ohio State and Penn State.

2. Bryce Young

QB | Alabama                                                                                                                                                                    Next Game: 11/13 vs New Mexico State

Even though the Crimson Tide only scored 20 points in a disappointing win over LSU, Young held up his end of the bargain. He had another 300-yard passing performance with no turnovers in the win. Now, the Tide have a no-win situation for Young this week as they host New Mexico State. The Aggies are one of the worst FBS teams in the country so while he will put up great numbers, it will be a glorified scrimmage.

3. Sam Hartman

QB | Wake Forest                                                                                                                                                                         Next Game: 11/14 vs N.C. State

Hartman accounted for nearly 500 yards of total offense and seven touchdowns and it still wasn’t enough to beat North Carolina on Saturday. He hopes to get a little help from his defense as the Demon Deacons return home to entertain N.C. State. The Wolfpack is one of the better defenses in the conference but Hartman has led Wake Forest to at least 35 points in every game this season.

4. C.J. Stroud

Stroud makes his way back into our top five after a 400-yard performance in a victory against Nebraska on Saturday. On the flip side, he did throw two costly interceptions as well. He has an incredible opportunity with games against Purdue, Michigan State, and Michigan to climb up this list with outstanding performances on the national stage.

5. Matt Corral

QB | Ole Miss                                                                                                                                                                                     Next Game: 11/13 vs Texas A&M

Corral’s dual-threat ability has largely been taken away due to his ankle injury that has been lingering over the last few games. Still, he threw for 324 yards and a score against Liberty on Saturday. The 27 points and the lack of explosive plays have dropped him down to number five this week. He’ll have a lot of eyes on him as Ole Miss hosts Texas A&M this week as one of the biggest games of the weekend.
